Le Mans Metropole

Challenge

On the occasion of the 2023 Le Mans Fair, Le Mans Métropole wanted to promote its future development projects while paying tribute to an emblematic local figure: Marie Mar. The aim was to make the public aware of its history, while combining the image of the city with innovation and progress.

Concept

Marie Marvingt (1875—1963), nicknamed “the fiancée of danger”, was a pioneer of French sport and aviation. She was the first woman to cross the Channel in a balloon and made history with her aeronautical and sporting achievements. In 2022, the city of Le Mans renamed its main stadium in her honor, becoming the first French sports arena with more than 20,000 seats to have a female name. To illustrate this approach, we designed a human-sized hologram of Marie Mar. The recording was taken in the studio and then adapted to obtain a futuristic and captivating rendering. Installed on the Le Mans Métropole stand, this device allowed visitors to discover a realistic representation of the aviator, highlighting part of her history and her exploits.

Résultat

The hologram aroused great interest among visitors to the Le Mans Fair. It made it possible to create a memorable interaction, strengthening the visibility of the city and its initiatives. This innovative system has contributed to positioning Le Mans as a dynamic community, looking to the future, while honoring its heritage and historical figures.
